Formed in October 2007, The Awakening consisted of David Thompson (guitar) and Chris Anderson (drums). What began as a series of impromptu jam sessions began developing into ideas for songs, and in on December 1st, two months later, The Awakening entered The Wade Studio to begin tracking a 3-song demo EP. With Andrew Wade's help, these songs matured into something far more than the original rough ideas presented by Chris and David. Combining elements of rock, metal, ambient, and jazz/fusion, these three tracks are just the tip of the iceberg for this young act. In January, Andrew Wade officially joined The Awakening, and the group is hard at work writing lyrics and vocal melodies for a (hopefully) April or June demo release.
